The Top 10 Reasons Not to Discuss Jack Schaap on JackHammer

September 30, 2007
  1. People are dying and going to Hell and all we can talk about is Schaap?
  2. We don’t know Jack.
  3. Don’t we have anything better to do than to GOSSIP about great men of God?
  4. Two words: Tom Neal.
  5. Because we haven’t baptized 13,000 souls in our lifetime, let alone in the last two weeks like they did.
  6. For the sake of Jose Vargas, who currently holds the record of 364 consecutive weeks getting baptized, dating back to just after his fifth birthday. We probably haven’t baptized 364 different people, let alone the same person 364 weeks in a row.
  7. Because Jack Schaap has a bigger church then we do. Way bigger. He’s probably preached to more people in one week than we will in our lifetime. Which is why the Pope is such a good man.
  9. Because there are so many bigger fish to fry. Why fish for minnows?
  10. Shouldn’t we be out Soulwinning?

    Hm, who’s Jack Schaap?

I’m from Canada, and we don’t know Jack.

    Brother Jerry,

You know the “union jack”, don’t you, ay?

  4. October 1, 2007 at 10:51 am

Jack Schap is the cheeky fellow who took for Jack Hyles when he…er…steped down from the throne of Hammond Baptist Church in Hammond, Indiana (right near my house growing up), and Hyles-Anderson College in Crown Point or Merrilville, Indiana, don’t remember which.

When your whole ministry is based on a name, you don’t want to dis your trademark too much. Thus, Jack II.

How about there are more importent things to discuss and information to get out. Not just the the good new( The Bible) How about the election of 08 and what may come of it. How about the killing’s that are taking place in the school’s? How about all that the devil is doing. The people he is using to furth his mission. What can we do? There are many things we can talk about. The great men of God did talk out like Lester Rolluff. Our vioces should be heard loud and clear for a children’s sake. For WE ARE God’s called out one’s. The devil has chosen his few. The libreal, faminazi’s, man hating, big goverment, God kicking out of school, socialiest let there vioce be heard. Our men of God should be heard aslo !!!!!!!!!! How long will thou forget God!!!!!!! How long will you

Amy, I think you mispelled a word or two in your ranting.

There ARE more important things to discuss and information to get out – things like spellcheckers. Those are pretty important. Not that you can’t rant and mispell words at the same time – it just seems more important to rant and spell right!

P.S. Warning about error is pretty important – no matter how you spell it.

Here’s a reason… Jesus deserves it more! Why waste our time and media talking about some preacher in the arm pit of America when we have a gospel to send and a Bible to teach? It’s all about Jack this and Jack that… what about Jesus… what about the King James Bible?

well for one it isn’t hammond baptist church that would be OUR school! its not our fault that you only get so many to get baptized and we get over 25,000 in 1 yr. don’t you think we must be doing something right since our church is SOOOO BIG?????? um… if you came to our church you would know that we DO use the KJV and it isn’t always about bro. schaap!!!! oh and if you didn’t want to waste time talking about “some preacher” then why were you even on this site???? yeah i was just wondering.

I think gossip and malicious words against anyone in any manner for whatever reason is not good Christianity. Remember that Jesus was never that way. He was always nice to his enemies. If Jack Schaap is an enemy to any who read this post, be nice to him. Do good deeds to him. I for one am not an enemy of his, however, if you believe the doctrine he preaches is wrong, you will, as the Bible says, heap coal on his head faster by doing him good deeds.

As for the people on Jack Schaap’s side that post on this site, I realize that you are offended when you read something against your preacher, so am I- thoroughly offended and outraged at times. But don’t just come in and post something that says stuff about shouting number facts at them. Ask them questions. Ask them where their proof is in their accusations. And if they have none, they will look stupid, then you’ll have your victory as it were. I, for my part, am indebted to Jack Schaap. I will let that be posted here.

I think you’d better read through the Scriptures again. Jesus was not always nice to his enemies. Check it out. When you are done reading the Gospels go ahead and read Revelation about how He will treat his enemies in the future. Let us know what you find. Earnestly contending for the faith against false teachers is nice. It is love. Have a look at 1 John and you’ll see what I’m writing about.

Having done a year’s time at Hyles, I would add that John Carroll’s recommendations are rarely followed at Hyles either. I heard John MacArthur bashed on a weekly, sometimes daily basis. I could name others. Schaap preached entire sermons dishing it on the “enemies” (i.e. the non-100%’s).

But there I go again, pointing out duplicity.

I would agree with the “HammerJacks” on this topic,if someone is saying something that doesn’t agree with doctrine it NEEDS to be exposed.Which by the way the greatest preacher that ever lived was Christ.
I have looked at the evidence provided by this sight and it’s accusations toward Hyles and found the claims thus far untrue.(Dave was suppose to get me other proof but hasn’t yet done that)

As far as the debate,I don’t need six shots,..I already hit the bullseye!
I proved repent isn’t defined “sin” or “unbelief”.Then I proved with sripture that directly applied to the topic that turninging away from sins is not a condition to salvation but rather an evidence……mind you if MEN don’t see this evidence that don’tdetermine weather aperson is saved. The “HammerJacks”did provide 30 plus verses, which didn’t directly apply,..and they defined repent as turning away from sin,( I proved that wasn’t true by using the Greek and Hebrew….repents deffinition isn’t “sin” or “unbelief”)I took handfuls of these scripures and put them in the right context.
Thus, my challenge is still open……JUST ONE VERSE!!!!!!
To the fella who wrote the last statement on the Corinth topic,………….Bluh, bluh bluh,I didn’t understand a word you said, pay attention meathead, your saying the same stuff they said.

To be fair,I went to a sight that Dave provided to check out some statements made by Jack Shapp and found disturbing things……like how he called the Pope a godly man. From the preaching I heard by Hyles Shapp would’ve been rebuked by Hyles himself,..and this DOES create doctrinal issue……Mr.Shapp,SHAME ON YOU111,Maybe you weren’t the right man for the postion.

It seems HBDonkey wouldn’t be satisfied with 300 verses.

For godly sorrow worketh repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world worketh death. (2Co 7:10)

Just to let all of you know, I happen to attend First Baptist Church on a weekly basis, and I know what my preacher is like. Maybe some of you should get to know Bro. Schaap before you say things you don’t know anything about. I see him pour his heart out to me, all his other teenagers, and the rest of his members several times a week. I challenge you to come to our church for a little while and listen to the preaching, see his broken heart for the homeless, the fatherless, the motherless, and the unwanted, who you probably wouldn’t welcome in your church, and then tell me that you haven’t heard the truth from the Bible, haven’t seen his heart for others, and haven’t been convicted.

    Praise to the man, spydeurman!
    Typical response from this wannabe.

To answer Roger, or not to answer Roger…

    I guess I’m answering. In a sorta way…

You see, I can’t just let him and his type do drive-by’s without some sort of “interpretation” for our general audience. So, here goes one.

Thy Hylots can always be counted on to leave comments like Spyderman’s or like Roger’s. They can always be counted on to leave a sort of sucker punch… a hit and run. They have no intention of duking it out. They shy away from any sort of theological boxing match, with blows exchanged. And so they throw their rocks, jump into the back of the pickup, and screech away from the scene as fast as they can. Never to be heard from again. They’re chicken to actually get in the ring with you, so they play “tag” instead.

We have not ducked the opportunity to engage in a “free exchange of ideas” with the Hylots. We have welcomed their debate. But that is the one thing that we can’t seem to get from any of them. They come by “just to let us know” that their “preacher” cares about people that (probably) nobody else in the world cares about, and he is a good guy, because they like him… but that is all you will ever get from them.

We have addressed specific issues with Hylotry. If any of them would like to open their Bible and prove from the Words of Life that Hylotry is true, Biblical Christianity, and that our objections have no Scriptural merit, then bring it on. If any of them (Roger included) would like to answer our arguments point-by-point, then let them.

But that is exactly what they CAN”T do. Which exposes who really is the “wannabe.”

well all I can say is “like Hyles, so goes Schaap”. It just so happens that Schapp likes ’em younger.
